Farhat Abdraimov was a Kazakh actor and producer who charmed audiences with his natural charisma and depth of talent. He was born in Almaty on January 21, 1966. His path to fame was filled with passion, mentorship and outstanding achievements.
Early life
As a teenager, Farhat discovered his love for the stage, honing his skills in school theater productions. After earning an engineering degree, he worked in the restaurant business for a while before finding his true calling in film.
There he met his “cinematic dad,” director Abai Karpykov, who recognized Farhat’s innate gift and helped launch his acting career. Karpykov rewrote the script for Farhat's debut film "The one who is more tender", giving him a more prominent role.
Artist career
Even as a child, Farhad's heart yearned for the silver screen. While his childhood friends role-played, he imagined himself standing in front of the bright lights of the theater and charming the audience. However, his path took an unexpected turn when he entered the Institute of Technology to study as a process engineer.
Farhad's big breakthrough came only in 1994. His striking good looks and magnetic presence landed him a role in the 1996 film "Shanghai", marking the beginning of a fruitful acting career. Over the years, he has lent his talent to a variety of acclaimed projects, from romantic drama "Love Undercover" to a gritty thriller "Outpost". Farhad's exceptional performances have earned him recognition, including a prestigious award "Film star of the year" in 2000 year and "Silver George" in 1999 year.
Over the years, Farhat has continued to captivate audiences, bringing authenticity and humanity to a wide range of familiar characters. Behind the scenes, he applied his experience as a producer to help bring compelling Kazakh stories to the screen.
Sorry, Farhat's life was cut short in 2021 at the age of 55. But his legacy as a beloved and talented actor lives on, inspiring future generations of Kazakh performers with his warm spirit and enduring dedication to his craft.
Domesticity
While everyone's attention was focused on his professional success, Farhad found his greatest joy in the warmth of his family. He is married to Victoria, an accountant, who supports his dreams and together they raised two sons - Asana and Tamerlane, who shares his father's passion for the culinary arts.
Although they go their separate ways, Farhad is immensely proud of his children's accomplishments, his heart filled with the same wonder he once felt when he dreamed of the stage as a boy.
