Bakhtiyor’s football career began in 2014 with the youth team of FC Taraz. His potential was quickly recognized, leading to his promotion to the first team. By 2017, he was awarded the titles “Opening of the Season” and “Best Young Player” of the PFLK. His success attracted the attention of Astana, Kazakhstan's top club, prompting him to move in November. He made an impressive debut for Astana, winning the Kazakhstan Super Cup and scoring three goals on his Premier League debut in a 6-0 thrashing of Irtysh.

In the 2018 season, the 20-year-old footballer played 27 matches for Astana, scored five goals and helped the team win the Kazakhstan football champion title.

Career in a Russian club

At the beginning of 2019, Zainutdinov moved to Russia, signing a contract with Rostov after negotiations over his release from Astana. Despite a significant salary offer from Astana, he chose new challenges in the Russian league.
