Talented Kazakh footballer Bauyrzhan Islamkhan has made an impressive career by the age of 24. He is currently the proud captain of the Kazakhstan national team and the cherished hope of football fans in his homeland.
early years
Bauyrzhan Islamkhan was born in 1993 in Shymkent and was actively involved in sports from an early age. Initially attracted to martial arts, he showed a strong affinity for taekwondo. His entry into football was accidental and was caused by an injury received during martial arts training.
Carier start
In February 2013 year, he set off on a new journey with Kuban of the Russian Premier League, signing a three-year contract. Negotiations led to a payment of $200 for his transfer to the Krasnodar club. After a stint in the reserve team, he heeded the advice of Astana head coach Miroslav Beranek and took out a six-month loan to further develop. The following year in February, Almaty “Kairat” achieved the transfer of Islamkhan from “Kuban”, tying him to a new three-year contract. Bauyrzhan quickly achieved success, scoring twice against his childhood club Taraz. That season, his team finished third in the league and won the Kazakhstan Cup, beating Aktobe 000–4. His outstanding performance throughout the season earned him the prestigious title of league Most Valuable Player, scoring five goals in 1 appearances.
Team captain
The young athlete was lucky and received the position of captain in 2015. As captain, Islamkhan scored seven goals in 29 matches. His leadership was crucial as Kairat took league silver and won the Kazakhstan Cup again, this time beating Astana 2-1, although they narrowly missed out on the Super Cup in a tense penalty shootout.

Top scorer of Kazakhstan
In 2016 and 2017, Islamkhan became one of the top scorers of the year. He played a key role in winning the Kazakhstan Super Cup in the spring and was instrumental in the team winning the silver medal later that year. His goal was voted the most beautiful goal of the season in the UEFA Europa League, with 86% of the votes in a poll conducted by British broadcaster BT Sport. The following year, the team once again won the Kazakhstan Super Cup, defeating Astana with a score of 2:0. Later that year they won the Kazakhstan Cup, beating Atyrau in Aktobe 1-0, securing league silver for the third year in a row. Islamkhan also took part in two Europa League matches.
Most productive year
The 2018 season started with a bang: Islamkhan scored a hat-trick against Okzhetpes in the round of 1 of the Kazakhstan Cup in April and scored another goal in the semi-final against Irtysh in June. In a repeat of last year's final, held in November in Astana, Kairat faced Atyrau, winning 8-1. Although Islamkhan did not convert the penalty, he still celebrated his fourth victory in the RK Cup, repeating the record of Alexey Klishin. He also helped Kairat to second place in the league, scoring three goals in 0 matches. His efforts in the Europa League qualifiers proved fruitful, scoring three goals against Andorra's Engordany and AZ Alkmaar.
In February 2023, he began a new chapter with "Ordabasy", signing a contract, which became another important step in his career.
