What is a chemical dosing system?

The chemical dosing system is a complete set of equipment with dosing, mixing, liquid transport and automatic control. It is also called chemical feeding system or dosing machine.

It is used for power plant raw water, boiler feed water, oil field collection and dewatering system, petrochemical dosing system and waste water treatment system.

Our chemical supply systems provide turnkey solutions that can be used effectively in many different industries and municipal water treatment processes. These are high-performance sodium hypochlorite dosing systems – for example when used to disinfect drinking water or as part of a chemical treatment system. Compact and lightweight prepackaged skids, corrosion resistance, flexible dosing pump options and ease of maintenance are some of the benefits of our advanced chemical delivery systems. Water treatment applications include disinfection (peroxyacetic acid injection), fluoride treatment, sodium bisulfite dosing, sulfuric acid dosing, sodium hypochlorite systems, dispersant polymer dosing, sodium hydroxide dosing, potassium permanganate dosing, coagulation and flocculation, hydrochloric acid dosing , supplying alum, neutralizing the pH and adding a scale inhibitor.

How does the chemical dosing system work?

The chemical dosing system is designed to automatically inject chemicals into the wastewater treatment chemical supply tank. During the dosing process, chemicals are added to the water stream at a precisely controlled rate using chemical metering pumps.

Differences between different chemical dosing systems

Different chemical dosing systems use different reagents. Each of these reagents works differently. The common denominator is that they all condition the wastewater, preventing the biological or chemical formation of unpleasant odors.

Which reagent and which system to use depends on your water treatment network.

Our chemical delivery systems are available in all types of configurations with the widest selection of pumping, piping and material options. In addition, our technical expertise in engineering system design integrated with off-the-shelf environmental and IoT communication modules can help you develop fully portable, easy-to-install and manage end-to-end solutions for your chemical dosing systems.

Depending on different delivery scenarios and purposes, it can be divided into the following two categories:

Acid Alkali pH Chlorine Dosing System

The system combines a polyethylene tank, dosing pump, mixer and automatic control system into one. The metering pump and mixer are installed on the polyethylene tank, and the outlet of the metering pump is connected to the metering pipe and inlet pipe. This dosing pump is controlled by an automatic control system, which automatically controls and checks the dosing speed and dosing quantity. When adding chemicals to the wastewater treatment plant, the mixer mixes the chemicals with water, and the dosing pump supplies the chemicals to the wastewater inlet pipe under the control of the automatic control system. Mixed chemical wastewater flows into downstream installations.
