State symbols of Kazakhstan

In accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 337 dated June 4, 2007 “On introducing an amendment to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 20, 1998 No. 382 “On professional and other holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan””, the Day of State Symbols is celebrated on June 4 in the republic.

The flag, coat of arms and anthem are the state symbols of Kazakhstan.

 The flag is blue with a golden national ornament on the left, a golden sun and a soaring silhouette of an eagle in the center. The flag symbolizes the freedom and independence of Kazakhstan, as well as unity. The sun is the source of life and energy. In the language of symbolism, the silhouette of an eagle means state power, breadth and foresight.

The peaceful policy of the state is reflected in the state symbols of Kazakhstan.

 The coat of arms of Kazakhstan has the shape of a circle as a symbol of life and eternity. The central element is shanyrak. Shanyrak is a symbol of family well-being, peace, and tranquility. The zenith hole of the yurt resembles a bright sun against a blue sky. The dome poles, evenly diverging from the center along the blue space of the coat of arms, resemble the rays of the sun. In the center of the coat of arms is a five-pointed star. The coat of arms, like the flag, has two main colors - golden and blue. Golden corresponds to the bright, clear future of the peoples of the country. The blue sky represents peace for all peoples. Kazakhstan has always strived for peace and harmony with all peoples of the planet.
