Nature of Nursultan

The city is located in northern Kazakhstan on the banks of the Ishim River, at its closest point of contact with the Nura River. Deposits of gold, uranium, bauxite, antimony, copper, brown coal, kaolin ores, quartz sands and other minerals have been discovered in the depths of the region.
