Sights of Almaty

These places are grouped together so you can easily visit them in one go. They are either next to each other or not too far from each other.

Panfilov Park

With the Great Patriotic War Memorial, the Museum of National Musical Instruments, and the Orthodox Cathedral. The Green Bazaar is close to the Gros supermarket, which is across the road if you're looking for some green shopping. Do you love chocolate and sweets? Then you are next to the Rakhat chocolate factory. By the way, the famous Arasan bath, which Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman enjoyed during their "Long Walk", is located on the other side of the tram line. 😉

Central State Museum of Kazakhstan 

Republic Square and the Almaty residence of the President of Kazakhstan (you can admire it just a few meters from the fence), Almaty city administration, the former Government House, when Almaty was still the capital of Kazakhstan. If you need to do any shopping while you're there, the Ramstore supermarket is right next door.

Kasteev Art Gallery 

Located opposite the Rahat Palace Hotel, it is a rather rich place that can be seen and visited. Almaty circus with the Fantasy World amusement park next door. Kazakh Drama Theater named after Auezov. Want you to shop. No problem. Promenade Superstore is located between Central Stadium and the Central Sports Center.

Be sure to visit the Abai Opera and Ballet Theater .

Lermontov, opposite is the former Pushkinka, which is the name of today’s National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan with more than five million books in more than 100 languages.

Gorky Park 

A great pastime for children and adults. In addition to various attractions, there is also a water park and a zoo, so it will take you the whole day to try everything out and take pictures.
