All Tashkent metro stations have their own unique architectural appearance: marble, granite decoration, rows of columns, colorful bas-reliefs, ganch. Not far from Tashkent, 80 kilometers, there is a favorite vacation spot for the townspeople - Lake Charvak, which is surrounded by mountain slopes crowned with snow-white snow. Uzbekistan's foreign policy has changed since mid-2005, when government troops suppressed popular unrest in Andijan. A UN resolution was issued expressing concern about mass arrests and accusations of the deaths of hundreds of people by government forces who showed excessive brutality. The adoption of the resolution was initiated by the United States. 73 countries voted for the adoption of the resolution, 58 abstained, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan voted against.

Turkmenistan is a state of Central Asia. It borders on the south with Afghanistan and Iran, on the north with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It has no access to the World Ocean. The territory occupied by the republic is 491 thousand sq. km.

The population of the republic is just over five million people, of which 78% are Turkmens. The official language is Turkmen. A special feature of Turkmenistan is that it is the only country in which there are limits on free electricity, water use and gas consumption.

The capital of the republic is Ashgabat, which is the largest administrative, political, industrial, scientific and cultural center of the state. In 2013, it was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the whitest marble city, with 543 white marble buildings in the city. Another feature of the city is that the city has the highest flagpole (133 meters), the largest Ferris wheel and the largest complex of fountains. In Turkmenistan, Turkmenobat, Dashoguz, Balkanabat, Turkmenbashi, and Mary are also considered large cities.

Turkmenistan has good diplomatic relations with 131 countries of the world. The main partners are Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Türkiye, China.
