Fishing on the Bukhtarma Reservoir

Bukhtarma Reservoir consists of 2 sections: river - along the valley of the Irtysh River and Lake Zaisan. The Bukhtarma River is a right tributary of the Irtysh, the length of the river is 336 km, the basin area is 12 km. It originates in the glaciers of the Southern Altai ridge. In the upper reaches of the Bukhtarma there is a mountain river flowing in a narrow valley, in the lower reaches the flow is calmer. The Bukhtarma River is rich in fish. Here you can find peled, ripus, pike, pike perch, perch, cape, grayling, ide, carp, taimen, nelma, trout, burbot, uskuch, crucian carp, bream and other types of fish.
